HELIKA bud vase

£55.00

A sculptural vase inspired by the spiral geometry of Scotland’s historic towers.

DIMENSIONS
H: 125mm W:60mm (widest)

THE STORY
The Helika draws on the spiral geometry found in Scotland’s historic towers. A climb up the Wallace Monument, with its 246 helical steps, became the starting point for the form.

That upward, turning movement is translated into a series of sculptural vases — an exploration of geometry, architecture and proportion, shaped into objects for everyday use.

PROCESS & MATERIALS
The Helika begins as a hand-built model combining plaster and acrylic, carefully shaped, bonded, and sanded before mould-making. Each vase is slip-cast, refined by hand, and finished with three brushed coats of bronze lustre. Subtle variations in colour are part of the making process and ensure every piece is unique.

Further details of this process can be found on the Process page.
